Woven versus Knitted Cotton Mask Materials
Because most cotton fabric is woven, governments are recommending a higher thread count with 3 layers. A higher thread count generally does mean the fabric is denser and can in theory filter more.
Knitted cotton is measured a little differently, which is GSM (grams per square metre). All three layers of our organic mask are made from the same knitted 100% organic, 220gsm, GOTS certified, cotton fabric. In comparison, disposable masks are typically 20 - 30gsm so this gives an idea of the fabric weight.
There is no exact conversion between thread count and GSM, but in testing it performed better than a high thread count mask when used with a filter and knitted masks were significantly more breathable. Three-layer masks with high thread counts become a little difficult to breathe through. Knitted fabric provides protection while being comfortable and easier to breathe.
This 100% organic cotton face mask has three layers of fabric with a pouch for inserting an optional filter. Filters are not included with the mask and we are currently not recommending any specific filter brands. The fabric and face masks are entirely made in Canada. Our fabric is GOTS approved (Global Organic Textiles Standards) and sourced in Canada. Our dyes are also GOTS approved and toxin-free.
The patent pending cotton face mask includes a detachable strap which enables the mask to suspend around the neck if it needs to be temporarily removed. This allows the user to remove the mask when safe to do so, without placing it on a potentially contaminated surface or touching the mask. This unique feature also provides quick access to the mask if it needs to be reapplied. It is ideal for office environments (when desks are safely distanced), outdoor work environments (when the user is safely distanced), during lunch, and when driving a vehicle.
Although this mask does not have the same level of protection as an N95 mask, it limits pathogens from transmitting to others if the user coughs, sneezes, or talks closely. It also protects the user from touching their mouth and nose. This mask is designed to be more comfortable than an N95 mask, making it more ideal for long term use at work or when outside in public. Our fabric is soft, breathable, and hypoallergenic making the mask comfortable to wear.
The mask is washable, however we recommend hand washing and avoiding the dryer to preserve the integrity of the mask for a longer period of time.
Sizing Information
For sizing instructions, please refer to the sizing image icon underneath the main product photo. If you are unsure about your size, medium is our most popular size and most likely to fit most women. For most men size L is advised unless they feel they have a smaller physique that may fit the medium size and women most commonly fit size M.
Using user measurements to decide on a size, the factory recommends that it's better to go bigger if you're on the upper limit of a size range. For example, a 9½" size could be either small or medium but it's recommended that the medium size is chosen, For a measurement of 11½" that could fit medium or large you would choose the Large size for a better fit.
The ear straps may be adjusted by tying a knot in between the loop. This shortens the size of the loop creating a tighter pull and more secure fit.
These face masks are sold in the following mix of colours: black, teal green, blue, grey, pink, and purple. Colours may vary depending on our availability of fabric. There is currently no option to select specific colours at this time.

If you feel like you’re having the wrong size or product. You can immediately drop an email to us and raise a request for exchange/return. Once it’s confirmed from our end. You may ship us back the product.
Please return your items in the appropriate box (we suggest re-using the box that we shipped the items to you). If you want to get a refund for an item, you must send it back to Canada Post before the last day of the return period. We know it’s hard to keep everything in perfect condition, but we ask that you do your best not to break any packaging or open any products. To get a full refund, make sure you send back all the original packaging and instructions with your return. A restocking fee will be charged if the items are returned without the original packaging and instructions or if they were not shipped in a second, more durable box.
We have the right to check with your insurance company before processing your refund to prevent insurance fraud. A 25 per cent restocking fee will be added to things sent out if someone is abusing our return and refund policies. This will put your order on hold.

FAST: 3 to 7 business day delivery for only $8.99, and FASTEST: 1 to 3 business day shipping for only $15.99 are flat-rate express options that charge the same amount for each. If we can’t get your item to you when we said we would, we will refund your shipping costs. Also, if you order $150 or more, we’ll send your order for free in 7 to 9 business days.
For purchases made before 2:00 p.m. EST on Monday through Friday, same-day shipping is available. After 2:00 EST, an order is considered as the next day’s order. On the first day of every week, a business day does not count of you order. Depending on the products you order, and the area where you live, we may be able to get the product to you sooner than the stated delivery time. An email will be sent to you every time your order status changes:
1. PROCESSING – order received
2. COMPLETE – The item has shipped and tracking information has been emailed to you.
If we are not able to find your location, we may call you or email you. If you live in a faraway place, the courier may not be able to get to you in time. This could delay the arrival of your package. If you want to return something, we don’t pay for the shipping costs.
