Indications:

The mediven angio Compression Stockings are recommended for:

• Chronic venous disease (CEAP stages C0s – C5)

Contraindications:

• Advanced peripheral arterial occlusive disease (with any of the following parameters present:
  • ABPI < 0.5
  • Ankle arterial pressure < 60 mmHg
  • Toe pressure < 30 mmHg
  • TcPO2 < 20 mmHg on dorsum of foot)
• Decompensated heart failure (NYHA III + IV)
• Septic phlebitis
• Phlegmasia cerulea dolens

Precautions & Special Considerations:

Patients should exercise caution if they have:
✔ Severe weeping dermatosis
✔ Intolerance to compressive materials
✔ Severe paraesthesia in the limbs
✔ Advanced peripheral neuropathy (e.g., in diabetes mellitus)
✔ Primary chronic polyarthritis
